Scott Brown has been an integral part of Second Baptist Church since January 2011. A lifelong believer, Scott’s spiritual journey was shaped early on when he prayed to receive Christ after a service at First Baptist Church. His faith has remained a guiding force throughout his life, influencing every aspect of his personal and professional endeavors.

Scott is not only a devoted church member but also a dedicated family man. He married his beloved wife, Linda, in 1990, and together they have been blessed with two wonderful children, Trevor and Sabrina. The joy of their family has further deepened with the addition of a grandson, a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter born in March 2024.

In his professional life, Scott has shown determination and leadership. Starting in hardware, he worked his way up to become part-owner of Pride Home Center, showcasing his business acumen and commitment to excellence.

At Second Baptist Church, Scott’s service extends beyond attendance. He has embraced and felt honored when requested to teach Sunday Classes for college students and co-host Adult Bible Study classes. His heart particularly resonates with the senior members of the congregation, cherishing the wisdom and experiences shared with them.

A passionate fisherman and hunter, Scott enjoys spending his free time outdoors, embracing the beauty of nature. His vision for the future of Second Baptist Church is one of growth and community, especially nurturing the children and youth to become strong pillars of faith.
