About Us

Welcome Message from the Pastor

I am Pastor Larry Davis, and I am honored to serve as the shepherd of this wonderful congregation. We are a church committed to glorifying God, serving others, and spreading the love of Jesus Christ throughout our city and beyond. Whether you are a long-time member or a first-time visitor, you are a vital part of our family. As we walk this journey of faith together, I encourage you to fully engage in the life of the church — through worship, fellowship, and service — as we grow in our relationship with Christ and with one another.

As we embark on a new chapter in our church’s history, we welcome Rev. Larry Davis as our new pastor, who brings a renewed sense of purpose and dedication to our congregation. Rev. Davis is working tirelessly to expand our outreach programs and strengthen our commitment to proclaiming the gospel to the greater Amarillo area and beyond.

At Second Baptist Church, we believe in the transformative power of faith and fellowship with the community. Our doors are always open to all who seek spiritual growth, fellowship, and a deeper connection with God. Join us as we continue to carry forward the legacy of faith, service, and love that has defined us for over a century.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

May you find a home here at Second Baptist, where faith, hope, and love abound, and where we walk together in the grace and truth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Welcome to the family!

Rev. Larry Davis

Senior Pastor
